My roommate just happened to be watching and (all hail the DVR) we were able to back up to that scene.

He is quite fetching in that outfit.

I remember when they started that. They wanted the uniforms to be considered unisex so they had both the men and women in the traditional butch uniform and the, um, other one.

I believe most of the viewing audience just didn't get it and said so. The men-in-skirts disappeared from Season Two on.

If you zoom in real close on the display panel you can clearly see he's looking for directions to the local drag bar.

Unfortunately, Counselor Troi consumes half the ship's hair and makeup supplies, so trannies of the future look just like everyone else.

We noticed that too, the other day! I vaguely remember it from when I first saw the show waaaay back in 198shmurble that there was a bit too much equality of the sexes...

I mean hell, a miniskirt as a regulation uniform?

On a GUY?
