Random notes during my trip to Haiti

First impression-- small airport, walking on the tarmac underneath a plane to get to the gate. A band of musicians wearing greeen Western Union shirts are playing and singing-accordion, banjo, drums and guitar. Immigration and Customs was a matter of two minutes to get through. It maybe be the Ambien I just took, but that entire post was sort of surreal.
Yet, that's how I'd expect Haiti to be: a mixture of exotic and depressing.
