The splendor that is I-95throbinsonAugust 20 2005, 20:05:03 UTC
This afternoon it wasn't running anywhere. More like sitting still. I was glad I didn't have far to go - somehow it's more bearable sitting in stop and go traffic if you know the next exit is yours. And also glad of my ridiculous habit of leaving way too early for everything. That way at least I wasn't late for my haircut appointment.
Around here you'd be more likely to see the Kerry stickers on a Subaru or VW, maybe -- the old junker American made station wagons are usually solidly in the Bush camp.
I laughed when I saw your post because there's a post I've been meaning to make in my own journal. There is a beat up old minivan that I see occasionally on the way home from work. It is easily identifiable by the large plume of black smoke billowing from the tailpipe.
On the back window are two stickers, side by side:
"Kerry/Edwards" "Boldly Going Nowhere"
I honestly don't think the brain-trust that owns the vehicle realizes the irony of his sticker placement.
