Fire extinguisher one - lawnmower zero.

The self-propelled Torro lawnmower (not the big lawn tractor) caught fire (smoke, flames, the whole nine yards) while mowing tall grass. Thanks to S. for the saving the day with the fire extinguisher! Not sure how much damage there is - front plastic is melted - looks like the grass came into contact with spark plug and caught from there ( Read more... )

Probably a good idea - dishes are not really my thing as I have a tendency to drop them.

WOW. You're rough on your lawn equipment! (more specifically, your grass is tough on it.)

Yay for no explosions! Usually, I'm in favor of explosions, but in this case, not so much. It's all fun and games until we have to pull shrapnel out of someone's leg.

Explosions good - unplanned explosions in the yard is bad. I was a little worried that it was going to blowup as it really was on fire and not just smoking a little bit.
