Well, the week has been a busy one.

Last weekend in Arkansas had some rough spots.  We started out Saturday morning getting Haylo ready to dance and while getting her into her dress, the zipper broke.  We're talking a tight dress, so no zipper means a gaping hole up the back.  I tried to pin it just to get her to her stage but the pins kept popping ( Read more... )

Well, we endured the first feis of the season today. Snowy, freezing, ice-caked asphalt outside, but we braved the drunken downtown Mardi Gras crowd to make it to the dance location. Woo Hoo, we got heat back last night!!! It came on about 8:30 just as you were beginning to be able to see your breath inside the house. It was 12 degrees this morning, so I'm thinking it made it down to the single digits last night, that would have made for some frosty little fingers ( Read more... )

It is way too cold for me. We've been without power at home since Friday night (it's Monday now) and it hasn't been above like 36 degrees. This is completely uncivilized. I actually looked forward to coming into work just so I could warm up. Sigh.
