Summary: Todd Fleming led two completely different lives.

Author's Note: Written for 15genres1prompt, under the interesting genre of crossover. I had a different genre planned, but crossover won my heart.

Todd Fleming led two completely different lives; one in Philadelphia and one in California.
In Philadelphia, he had an excellent job and a lovely daughter, Lacey. Todd also had an ex-wife Megan, who he despised very much so and an ex-girlfriend Kate, who cared more about her working relationship with Megan than about their own happy relationship together. It made his blood boil that Megan, the ungrateful bitch, could interfere with all his new girlfriends when she had apparently moved on with that blonde haired consultant of hers.
In California, he was Red John and had admirers to do his bidding. Todd also had a “girlfriend” within the California Bureau of Investigation Teresa, who continued to lead her own blonde haired consultant to his death and every time he dragged his knife across soft flesh in a candlelit haze, he fantasied about doing the same thing to Megan.
Of course, he couldn’t actually kill Megan in Philadelphia-he’d become the prime suspect and drawing his smiley face above her body would draw very unwanted conclusions toward himself. Red John wasn’t well known in Philadelphia, and Todd wanted it kept that way. Hypothetically speaking, if any of Megan’s merry men got their hands on her mangled corpse, they’d do everything and anything to bring her justice.
California however, was an entirely different story.
Lacey would, naturally, mourn the loss of her dear mother, but she would eventually get past it. Kids were strong, and Daddy would be there to help his little girl cope. They’d then move to California-to get away from the memories of your mother, he would tell her mournfully-and he’d drop the Red John persona, for he never wanted his daughter to lose a second parent or completely shatter her ideals about him.
(Besides, Todd had an extremely strong feeling that Lacey would like Teresa.)
