OH. that painting was absolutely destined for you. wow.

I've been having a similar problem with a painting that was hung in my favorite lunchspot -- they change artists every two or three weeks so I figured that out of sight would be out of mind. it's a small watercolor called Egon's Girl, a portrait in the style of Schiele, and I just can't stop thinking about her. ugh, you're enabling me and you didn't even mean to. *hide*

It was funny, I met the woman to pick the print up from her, and I was like, "You know, I really love this painting, if I could afford to pay $800 for a painting, it would be this one." And she said, "Oh, don't worry about it, I buy prints, too." Which is to say: art should be more accessible for the people! And not just the same three stupid Klimt and O'Keefe paintings.
