One.
Being the self confident prick he is, Ryo comes over to Shige’s high school when the bell rings for end of classes. Shige looks at him in surprise. Widens his eyes just a tad bit more when Ryo kisses him says, “Suki.” And runs off.
Shige stares after him for a very long time trying to figure out what just happened.
“Strange boy isn’t he?”
“Mo-MOM!” And there she is smiling at him. She motions to the car and Shige follows embarrassed wondering if she saw that.
Two.
After the kiss Ryo starts acting like Shige is his girlfriend. It doesn’t really surprise Shige all that much. Ryo is probably too dense to consider that he could be rejected. When Shige lets himself be pulled into Ryo’s car to go on a date outing he tells himself that it’s obviously because he doesn’t want to wake Ryo from his dream (for the sake of the structural built of his skeleton). When Ryo parks his car on a make out spot, he thinks that this is going way out of hand.
However when Ryo leans in all that leaves Shige’s mouth is, “Woah. It’s going too fast!”
Ryo grins in this very adorable way that makes him look like a little kid and just presses their lips together anyway. Ryo wasn’t being too pushy just softly moving against him. That really surprised Shige.
Though what really surprised him was how he grabbed Ryo’s elbow and pushed back with vigour. His enthusiasm encouraged Ryo to get bolder and lick his lips. Shige obliges readily and soon it’s a battle between their tongues for control. Ryo winning but Shige can hardly care. He’s enjoying the battle too much. He feels his throat dry up and his chest constrict at the lack of air but doesn’t have the will power to break away from Ryo.
His phone rings. Once. Twice.
“Hello?” Shige whispers not trusting his voice especially since Ryo is kissing his jaw now.
“Have you been running?”
“Huh? MOM!” He tries to push Ryo off. The latter only tightens his grip on Shige and nips along his collarbone.
Shige suppresses a moan.
“Are you hurt? You seem tired and exhausted.”
“Uh...yeah. I was just playing soccer.”
“Okay just wanted to tell you that I’ll be going out to dinner tonight so you need to fend for yourself okay.”
“Yeah sure I can manage dinner.”
“Okay bye honey, love you.” Shige heaves out a relieved sigh and stashes his phone back into his pocket when Ryo’s arms come to rest around his neck.
“I wanna play.”
“What?”
“Soccer.” Ryo smirks.
Three.
Shige opens the door to a grinning Ryo.
“What?”
“You can’t cook right?”
“No but I can order out.” Shige points to the table where a box of pizza is sitting.
“Thank god. I thought I’d need to cook for you before coming here. That saves a lot of time for you know...more important things.” Ryo wiggles his eyebrows for effect.
Shige rolls his eyes. “Haven’t you had enough of it already?”
“No. Have you? Don’t tell me you’re bored already!”
Shige hides his blush by turning around.
Ryo chuckles, “Thought so.” Suddenly Ryo presses himself onto his back trapping him in an awkward hug, “You still want more from me!”
“Shut up. I’m hungry.”
“Me too.” Ryo runs to the couch takes up 3/4th s of it to settle himself. And pats the little bit of empty space beside.
“Why are you taking so much space, little man?”
Ryo frowns, “Oh haha. Very funny.” He flicks on the television and they eat their pizza in peace.
Ryo makes an annoyed grunt from beside him.
“Dammit!” And Shige finds himself under Ryo being attacked furiously. Ryo tastes like cheese and ginger ale. A combination Shige finds he likes...a lot.
Ryo’s warmth disappears momentarily and Shige whines when Ryo gets off the couch but then Ryo just pulls him up and says, “C’mon!”
Shige stares at him blankly. Ryo just pulls him into his own bedroom leading him around the house as though he’s the guest here.
There’s just a little apprehension when Ryo pushes him onto the bed. One that disappears as soon as he feels Ryo’s weight on top of him and Ryo’s lips against his skin that follows soon after.
He moans as Ryo adores him. They are so lost in each other that they don’t hear the lock click on the main door. At least not until a cheerful, “Tadaimaaaaa~~” resonates throughout the house. Ryo pulls away hastily and they look at each other in panic.
“QUICK HIDE!” And the next few seconds are a flurry of confusion as Ryo stumbles about under the bed, behind the closet and finally crouches into his cupboard whilst Shige flails and is of no help whatsoever.
Shige’s mom opens the door just as Ryo pulls the cupboard door shut.
“Do you have friends over?”
“Huh?”
“I thought I heard you talking to someone.”
“Uhh... I was on the phone.”
“Oh... okay honey. Were you going to bed?”
“Yeah... I was”
Shige’s mother smiled and closed the door behind her. Ryo had just cracked open the cupboard door when the door to Shige’s bedroom flew open. Shige lurched at his cupboard with a yelp.
“Oh Shige, I was wondering whether you had dinner.”
Shige forced out a shaky yes. His mom fixed him an affectionate look before finally leaving for good.
This time Shige locked the door before allowing Ryo out of the cupboard.
“That was close, huh?”
“Yeah. Now get out.”
Ryo pouted a while before giving it up on the nerve wracked Shige.
“How?”
Shige looked at him in alarm. Ryo smirked.
Four.
Shige sat down at his computer excited to be talking to Ryo. Ryo’s been busy at his job and Shige with college applications so they could hardly meet these days.
