Fourteen
He wants to do a lot, a whole lot for Toma.
And for the next few days it’s all that is on his mind, he is disconcerted by his helplessness and he ignores everyone not out of spite but out of sheer distraction. There are a hundred different scenarios, a hundred possibilities and all speculations reach a dead end.
In the end it’s Aiba feeling small and unloved, scared and worst of all unhappy who comes up with a plan that’s decent bordering on delusional.
“It won’t work.” Jun grunts. It’s just as farfetched as all the ideas in his head; maybe even more since its coming from Aiba.
“I know.” Aiba agrees in a small voice, flinching at Jun’s every tiny movement, as though the next one would be hazardous to his well-being.
“But we’re with you on this one.” Ryo and Yamashita smile.
From a corner Toma looks worried.
Fifteen
Thanks to Toma’s antic with the gun Shachou doubts Jun’s intentions towards Toma (and rightly so) and that is why he isn’t picked to take part in the operation that would seal the peace deal under which agreement Toma would be handed over to the Kiiroi clan.
Every clan has a black book and I saw a safe in the Kiiroi clan’s leader’s office
Aiba’s words ring through his head. Jun is fidgety because he can’t really count on Aiba’s stealth and Toma is useless regarding almost everything other than sex.
Although that would be Toma’s job anyway to distract the Kiiroi leader while someone cracks the safe. Aiba packs a drill in case Ryo (their safe-cracking expert) fails and they might need to run with the whole safe (and crack it later)
Shachou isn’t informed of the hidden drill or their real agenda because the chances of it succeeding are near to zero (Aiba is so clumsy) and if it fails (which is probably will) the Kiiroi clan will declare war and they’ll lose it because Ao clan’s allegiance is faulty and leaning now towards Kiiroi’s.
Jun hopes that at least Toma can escape the mishap and bloodshed.
Though what he really hopes for is for Aiba’s plan to succeed and then Toma can run away (maybe he’ll join him) after the disposal of the black book at a police headquarters.
A/N: I hope its clearer now. Toma's past is still not completely revealed but I think you can continue the story without problem with this much info ^_^ For Cam and Yuki
