Title: Unrequited cycle of love
Characters: Toma Arashi and Yamapi (bevause I didn't want Toma to be alone)
Pairings: Too Many!!!
Rating: G
Genre: Sort of angst but nothing too heavy
Summary: The title is self explanatory...this is another example of how Nani deals with stress
Note: Extremely pointless.
Renewing Old Memories
Toma thinks forlornly of the Junior days when MAIN was together and he misses it so much especially because his time with them are blurring into his memories masked with newer ones of Yamashita and Yoko and Koichi and the tons of friends he had managed to make. When during the Kokuritsu concert Jun comes backstage sweating profusely and panting while Toma throws him a bottle of water he’s glad that at least he could make new ones with them, even though they aren’t, he thinks as Jun gives him a friendly smile and curls a hand behind Aiba’s waist, the kind that he wanted the newer ones to be. But Toma knows how to make the best out of even the most disgustingly disappointing situation. Reality had never let him do otherwise anyway.
Stiff Neck
Nino thinks with maybe a trace of wonder how he gradually had to raise his head to look at the kid. Once he craned his neck so low down to reach eye level that it had hurt and now he craned it so high that it still hurts. Although he thinks as Toma smiles down at him before following Jun out the door he didn’t mind the stiff in his neck that the younger caused. Not then, not now.
Stupid is Being Worth It
Ohno gets embarrassed when people catch him spacing out; it frustrates him how they call him slow because of it. But then as he catches sight of Nino making puppy eyes at Toma as the latter gently ruffles his hair he thinks its worth zoning out and being called stupid if it means he can escape reality once in a while.
Learning from the Best
Sho had always been offended when someone called Ohno slow or high. He always knew the older was extremely talented, bright and proactive yet he could never decipher the choice the older always made in appearing as less, in hiding, in being the dark horse. That is why Sho always tried to cover it up with his own faults knew that at dexterity and talent the older surpassed all others and whenever he failed at those his natural kindness would draw the older to help him. During those times he feels the older truly concentrates on him and that makes him happy although he has to ignore the slight glances the older throws in the direction of a certain magician cum gamer. Sho accepts that everything in life cannot be perfect.
Fishing For Attention
Aiba likes being loud, noisy and obnoxious. It gets him attention, a lot of it. He leaves lots of openings to be made fun of for a certain Sakurai Sho. But he doesn’t mind it when Nino or Jun takes them because Sho is too busy tending to a spaced out Ohno. It makes the attempts a little less pathetic and it drives the audience crazy too.But sometimes the openings reach home and Sho makes fun of him kissing an octopus and maybe it’s because they are kind of rare that he is truly grateful for those times.
The Art of Keeping Up Tension
Jun likes simplicity in all forms. He left most of his apartment white and bare for such reasons yet his room looks too stuffed and superficial against Aiba’s simplicity and the next too bare against his vibrancy. He never understood what kept the tension in the other so high all the friggin time. He tried to ignore the extra tension Aiba showed when Sho was concerned. Therefore he had at least convinced himself he didn’t understand the secret to Aiba’s tension. But as he looks at the taller man coax a stuffed koala into eating his eucalyptus juice he knows what keeps his own tension going.
BONUS (Because I'm biased to Toma): Retribution
Yamashita had never been one to take tough times and sadness well. Maybe that is why he had never been put through any. But when he had seen Toma walk in with Jun during the NewS concert and play around with him he knew it was retribution for all the tough times Toma had faced alone maybe even because of him. He thought he even deserved it but then again maybe there were more forms of punishment in this world.
