...Presea doesn't have a keycrest. And - no one else knows how to make them, do they?

Isn't there anything we can do to help her?

[joins in the kitchen]

We could start searching all the shops. Maybe the Malnosso pulled it off before they brought her here.

But I guess that explains why she was acting so weird.

It's too dangerous to go outside right now, though. And... why would they take it off? They didn't take off mine when I got here.

[She tastes the chocolate OW THAT'S HOT. And too bitter. She puts some sugar in and sets it aside to cool just a bit.]

Taking off yours would've killed you, though. [remember how you were turning into a rock?]

I dunno why they'd do it. I dunno why they do anything.

[Ugh, don't remind us.]

I don't think they would have taken it off. But it won't hurt to look once the storm is over. [Grabs some mugs.] But if she's just from before we met her - we need to find some way to make one for her. Even without Lloyd.

Only dwarves have the skills necessary to tinker with keycrests. Why do you think Cruxis employed them all? You could hope for the slim chance a fully-customized keycrest will appear in the store, but then you'll be waiting for a long time.

Not just dwarves, though! Anyone can if they learn how to, like Lloyd did. I'm sure if we figure out how to make one that someone here could do it!

Lloyd was raised by a dwarf. Those kind of skills take years to develop.

B-but... isn't there anything that could help? Maybe something from another world could work!

[Going from what Yuan's already said - ]

We'll have to check the stores, anyway, after the weather dies down a bit. Can't hurt to check, right? And if not... We'll find a way! [He's very determined about this.]

That's right, Genis. We'll find a way. [Smiles a little from behind her journal. She knows how much her bff adores Presea.] She'll be just fine.

Yeah... [He goes quiet for a bit, listening to what the others have to say, and sighs. They're making a lot of sense, and it doesn't make the situation any better.] Why'd they have to take her from that time?

I don't know, Genis. I'm sorry.

Only dwarfs have the skills necessary to create a fully functional Key Crest. I suggest you work checking the shops into your routine for the day. I doubt they'll be kind enough to simply give one to us, but there may be something useful.

Someone could learn! Lloyd learned how, didn't he? And he wasn't a dwarf!

Lloyd's spent many years under Dirk's guidance. Even with that, he isn't as skilled as a dwarf.

But... there's got to be something that'll at least help her! No one should have to be trapped like that!

[After reading the above conversations ...]

We need to focus on what we can do. That means we look after her, and keep our eyes and ears open. We really don't have enough information at the moment to do much else.

Maybe someone from another world could do something! I-I mean, if they've had to deal with something similar...
