Andreas is having band practice with Jimmy, which basically means that they sit around in Jimmy's apartment listening to psychobilly, getting drunk and fiddling around with some instruments. Nearly finished with my larger bag for heavy school books - it's starting to look rather, I don't know, expensive. Which is nice, I guess; decent finish, no loose threads or frumpy frayed edges of anything like that. And it has a tassel on it - naturally. Why? We have no idea, as of yet. There just wasn't anyone there to give uf the tests and supervise the whole thing - seems like university administation has properly bungled it. I'm really beginning to like this roots/radicals system Arabic has - seems about 90% of all Arabic words are derived from roots, which means that building up a vocabulary will be far easier than it is in many other languages. I already know over five words or so derived from the root k-t-b, which has to do with writing - book, write, book shop/ ( Read more... )

Damn impetigo - it's back again, in my face this time. I got it from the pigs the other month, only on one finger, thankfully; I treated it with alcohol, got rid of it after two weeks - or so I thought. It's back.
