I don't know where scary Illya came from, nor where he went after the first two books, when he was replaced by an Illya that sort of looks like David McCallum, sometimes.
Illya has been unrecognizable in just about every comic book I've seen. I don't understand why because David MacCallum is actually much easier to draw that Robert Vaughn. I can only assume all the comic book artists were Napoleon fanboys or hacks who didn't give a shit.
The page where Napoleon is making out with some chick in panel one and is tied up by panel three is priceless.
Illya is so easy to draw, and it completely baffles me. The first two comics it was funny because I kept stopping and thinking, "Oh hey, so, they've clearly seen lots of photos of Robert Vaughn, but absolutely zero of David McCallum."
I do think that Issue #4 occasionally got Illya right. Sort of. Closer than any of the others anyway.
or hacks who didn't give a shit.
I'm going with this, since as the comics continue neither one of them really looks much like the actors.

I love that page. "And I thought I was beyond THAT stage of life!"
