Ok, so I just got back from a 4 day trip to Chicago with my Kimmy and Aurora. Seeing Chicago for the first time, and meeting a small but crazily vibrant group of people, made me finalize an idea I've felt for awhile

I love B'more, but I've always known this about that poor, sad city. There's no hope there, so people are either angry or depressed, and neither of those attitudes will fix the city. And the energy is so strong that it successfully sucks the positive out of many people.
I love my hometown, but I'm glad to not live there anymore.
