Today has been draining. It seems like once I would get on a roll with lessons the phone would ring. Piano lessons are more punishment on me than on the kids I think.
Maggie started a new history book today. It starts with the fall of Rome. I am giddy to be teaching it to her and thankfully she seems just as excited. I am not interested in the ( Read more... )

I can see how that's going to be difficult on the parents. What's going to happen when the popular varieties run out? Do the girls have to keep trying to sell the remaining boxes?

I was told that we can trade cases of stuff that doesn't sell, but we can only trade individual boxes within our troop.
I am remaining very cautious about how many I give out on the first go. For example, each girl is getting a case (12 bxs) of Thin Mints, but only 3 boxes of Thanks-a-Lots.

Wow. I wonder why they chose to do it this way? I can see the desirability of not having a long wait for the cookies to come in, but this is going to be a quite a management challenge for all you leaders. Plus, no matter how wisely you coordinate things, there is no way that the ordered number of different types of cookies will perfectly match what people will want to buy.

The cookie tables at stores, will probably do well with this setup though since they can just sell what's on the table.
