hi all!

i've been pretty ill (cold, flu, ?) & not at the computer much - got to catch up a little here tonight but need to sleep again - have a dr.'s apt on weds to make sure this isn't pneumonia . . . glad i was ok for the big cooking last thurs, but that's been abt it for weeks (actually, i feel like i've been ill on & off ( Read more... )

seriously - good luck for tomorrow, sweetie . . . i'll be thinking abt you. and - here i am the nagging uber-mom -- rest up afterwards - a lot!

i do seem to have a thing for dear stephen . . . such a lovely man, in so many ways . . . i've been reading his blog (some are technology articles he's writing for the guardian) & enjoying the window into his thinking . . .

Thanks for the mention of the kitten :D He's a nice new addition we haven't had a kitten in about 14 years so its been fun. :)

i like chaplin, btw - soon you may be calling him chappy & that's cute, too! (our dog, houston, answers to abt 8 diff names, everything from tootoo to booboo to hootles to poodlepie . . .)(he's a lab mix!)

lol yeah our dog has nicknames too. His name is Da Vinci as in the artist and he gets called all sorts of things. Bud, Mister Vinchy or Mister Vinchers, Fuzzbutt, Vinchipoo and one of my favorite 'games' is 'pinch-da-vinch' hehe where I'll just grab his furr not really pinch him and he will chase my fingers and nibble at me :P

So far kitty and Chaplin are all we've called him...and Mister Fuzzikins the child has called him a few times. We had almost named him just Chaps or Chap or even Cowboy because when you look at him from behind it looks like he's wearing chaps :P
