Not likely, but I won't judge them until I know more about their circumstance. Even if they are not able to be trusted, they have much more knowledge and experience with Mayfield, which are invaluable.
On the point of knowledge and the like, I can agree somewhat. But listen, consider, think! This could be a ruse to ensnare us and throw us to an even worse fate. What do we have but that man's fickle implications that he is discontent or different? 'Tis a thread of hope twisting in the wind, and if there be lies abound or a wrong step made, those involved will suffer like the time before. Or possibly even those who were not involved.
And if he was not, we might all pay the price for such idiocy. Would you risk putting everyone in peril for the sake of so flimsy a hope, you naive fool? Throw your own fortune to the dogs if you so choose, but do not be so selfish as to take others with you!
I thought you humans were supposed to kinder than that.
It may be futile. But, banding together to keep our hope alive is something we must do. I can't say for sure what may happen if we appeal to Officer Grady, but...I do know that if we do nothing, we will have no chance to leave.
....I am not saying nothing should be done, simply that nothing should be done without thought or caution. That man could give us a chance....or more pain. What concerns me is that you seem to be underestimating the darker half of things.

Hn. So. How would you even try to persuade Grady and his ilk?
