And you really believe that he and "others like him" can be trusted, hm?

Not likely, but I won't judge them until I know more about their circumstance. Even if they are not able to be trusted, they have much more knowledge and experience with Mayfield, which are invaluable.

On the point of knowledge and the like, I can agree somewhat. But listen, consider, think! This could be a ruse to ensnare us and throw us to an even worse fate. What do we have but that man's fickle implications that he is discontent or different? 'Tis a thread of hope twisting in the wind, and if there be lies abound or a wrong step made, those involved will suffer like the time before. Or possibly even those who were not involved.

That may be so, but we cannot ignore the possibility he was telling the truth. If he was, it could be a great opportunity.

It's.....something to consider. I'm sure there is more to this then Grady and the Mayor. Definately someone higher up the chain, so to speak.

The milkman, during the election a few months ago, seemed to be in opposition to both Grady and the Mayor. There definitely seems to be multiple powers at work, at the least.

Yeah. I'm sure there is more to this, we just haven't been told or figured out everything.

There must be a way to learn more. It took something on such a terrifying scale to learn even this small piece of information, though...

That sounds reasonable enough. If that riot hasn't agitated him to the point that an idea like that is already out, at least.

Still, assuming there is some chance of that happening. He's capable of turning people into drones, and controlling normal drones, isn't he? What's to say he'd still have that ability if he joined us? I doubt any of those greater enemies would want that kind of thing used against them. Especially if it means having all the regular drones as possible enemies, too. And even if he had it from the start...

If they can take our powers, his likely wouldn't be any different.

These are all questions we certainly need answered. However, while it might not be Grady who keeps us locked here, perhaps the power to drone people and take away their powers is not something special about Mayfield.

So far, I believe only two people have the power to drone others: Officer Grady and the Milkman. They seem to be opposed, as well.

Not something special about Mayfield? What do you mean?

I heard about the latter, but I didn't know he could do that too. And... Maybe that could work to our advantage, though I honestly doubt it'd be that easy. But why are they opposed?

It may be that...the power to drone others and take away our powers and possessions may be a power Grady and the others like him have naturally. We've assumed Grady was a part of Mayfield and was using a power found only in Mayfield to do what he has been doing. If this is the case, then befriending Officer Grady and the Mayor may allow us to regain everything we've lost.

As for the Milkman, I am not sure why he and the others are opposed. The Milkman may be more directly connected to the real threat of Mayfield. There's still so much we don't know yet.

... I cannot allow evil to exist. I refuse to accept an alliance with him.

It is possible for non-evil individuals to commit evil actions. We shouldn't assume he is evil and deny him the opportunity to right his wrongs.

If he wants to be rehabilitated, than so be it. But right now he's an enemy and an obstacle. I won't deny him the opportunity, but he needs to be defeated first.

The possibility of a peaceful resolution shouldn't be ignored so easily.

If he iz beink manipulated somehow, how vould you suggest ve attempt to reason vith him? He may be little more zhan a puppet. Or, if he vas once like us, vhat do you think...?

thunder_striker January 23 2010, 20:29:13 UTC
I am not sure. If we assume he was once like the rest of us, then it may be possible to convince him to sympathize with us. He may be working with whatever greater power there may be out of fear.

Hm, if zhat is the case, it vill be difficult. Perhaps...ve should write an anonymous letter und ask him to leave a response somevhere, like ze mailbox of a house zhat no one lives in.

If zhis is a power game, he vould be riskink a lot by siding vith us.

Anonymous may be the best option at the moment. At the very least, even if he does not side with us, we may be able to get information.
