Winter Event. Yes. Running boardgames seems like a good way to get to know other LARPers, so I like that idea for the afternoon. I have no problem with early February, though with the new crop of high school age players that are starting to get involved, we may need to look at things like finals for university and timing in that regard. The games convention in Brandon has been...er...dwindling in past years. We haven't heard anything from them in a while. Trevor is in Winnipeg again, and so while he's not doing a *lot* of gaming (being a dad now and all), I have a connexion there who can distribute posters and stuff. I'm sure you guys have good contacts there.
I'm in fairly regular contact with Calgary gamers and Edmonton gamers, but I know the LARP scene in Edmonton far better than Calgary.
