Life Update!
so i have left New York. i am living in Texas, and currently unemployed.
we are working our way down to Austin, shouldn't be too much longer. until that point we are mostly just hanging out in Burleson and taking it easy. there isn't really much to do, but we've managed to have a pretty good time so far.
1. in the garage there were two old bikes resting and collecting dust. one was in pretty solid shape with no real visible or extensive rust, so i hauled it out and stripped it down and cleaned it up. i took care of all that during the week before the wedding on our previous trip. when i got back i had to get a new seat for it because the old model was so wide it was uncomfortable for my rear. cynthia was kind enough to buy me a seat, tube/tires , handlebar grip tape, and a helmet. it runs like a dream and it is actually pretty light for being an old frame. it's been good to have a little project like this since i haven't been drawing much. it's been interesting, and at times (the tubes/tires) frustrating learning the ins and outs of bike maintenance. the bike rides like a dream now, and it's actually surprisingly light for being and old frame. i'll hold off on going carbon fiber with everything til i have a job! har har. oh here is the bike:

2. we carved pumpkins which i had not done since i was a wee lad! aside from the incredibly messy innards, it was a breeze, and we roasted the hell out of some pumpkin seeds. pictures!

3. i was married? just in case anyone didn't catch that part. we uploaded pics to flickr recently, here is the link to the collections.

4. yesterday was my bday, and we saw American Gangster, which was totally awesome, and Buffalo Bill is totally in it. then we came home and cooked some penne pasta with beets, beet greens and goat cheese. topped it with roasted pecans we grabbed fresh from the backyard! ate my red velvet bday cake, and watched the Wizard of Oz.
5. other than that we've just been living on the farm, looking for jobs and hanging out with all the animals. 5 cats, 4 dogs, 2 donkeys, 4 goats, 1 mr duck duck, and 1 regular duck. here i am with a donkey.
