Repose (Drabble)

Sometimes, Hankyung thinks, it’s absolutely unfair how perfect one man can be. He’s reminded of this each time he watches Siwon sleep.
Siwon’s been asleep for almost an hour, warm and heavy in Hankyung’s arms as he pulls away slowly, gingerly, so as not to wake him up even though he knows Siwon’s a heavy sleeper. The blanket’s wrapped snugly around both of them, but even so, once Hankyung wriggles away from Siwon’s body heat, the chill of the China winter hits him like a brick.
He rolls on to his front and rearranges himself on the pillow so that he’s facing Siwon, his eyes raking over his face. Siwon’s forehead is smooth - Hankyung feels reassured by that, as Siwon’s been having nightmares and Hankyung recalls the times he sees Siwon’s forehead creased in a frown and beaded with perspiration - and Hankyung leans forward to press a kiss to it.
Siwon’s eyelashes are long enough to brush his cheek slightly when his eyes are closed, and Hankyung kisses his eyelids as well, quick little pecks that have Siwon stirring slightly and muttering drowsily before he falls still again. Hankyung smiles at that - Siwon, for all his height and muscles, can be such a child at times - before planting another gentle kiss on Siwon’s cheek, inhaling his scent, and then another at the corner of his mouth.
Siwon’s lips twitch slightly and Hankyung can’t resist - he kisses him full on the mouth and stays still there, just feeling how soft and full Siwon’s lips are under his own, feeling Siwon’s steady breaths puff against his cheek, savouring every single private second that they seldom manage to get.
When he finally pulls away, Siwon’s still fast asleep, chest rising and falling easily, face softened by moonlight and sleep, and Hankyung thinks he’s never looked more beautiful. It’s unfair how perfect Siwon is, and yet Hankyung still can’t help but spend a few minutes each day just watching him in repose, drinking in every inch of him.
