Summary: Siwon makes a series of discoveries over time about his relationship with Han Geng.

For the adorable fionie , my fellow Shinhwa lover and SuJu spazzer. I hope this is acceptable. =)

Siwon’s never believed in love at first sight, because he’s much too prosaic and practical and mature for such fluffy romantic notions.

But the first time he meets Han Geng, at a party his father’s throwing for his new business partners in China, there’s an unfamiliar fluttery feeling in his stomach and his throat goes dry when his father brings him over and introduces him as the son of one of the Chinese partners.

Han Geng has a bright smile that crinkles his large limpid eyes, a lean and lithe body, and his Korean is fluent, if slightly stilted and heavily accented, and each time he speaks in his soft gentle voice Siwon feels his heart jump a little, though he doesn’t quite understand why.

The both of them are the same age and get along well, and even though they start off discussing the usual ‘serious’ topics that are common at such parties - their respective fathers’ businesses, politics, economics - before either of them know it they’ve branched out into music, movies, college days, and there’s lots of laughter involved.

This is when Siwon discovers that Han Geng has a great sense of humour, and an enchanting laugh, and he has a habit of sliding his arm over Siwon’s shoulder or putting his hand on his thigh or leaning close to him, pressed against him from shoulder down to knee. Siwon also discovers that somehow, he doesn’t mind it all that much.

At the end of the night they exchange numbers and Siwon watches as Han Geng climbs into his limousine. As the vehicle pulls away the tinted window at the back rolls down and Han Geng sticks his head out and yells informally, “Call me, Siwon-ah!” in that accent and with that smile, and that’s when Siwon starts thinking there may be something to this whole silly love-at-first-sight thing after all.

After that party, Siwon thinks of nothing but Han Geng.

He also calls Han Geng eight times. Or he would have, if he hadn’t lost his nerve after entering the number only halfway the first three times, then entering the number but never pressing the call button the next three times, and then actually managing to call but cancelling it before the line even goes through the last two times.

Siwon keeps telling himself that he’s calling Han Geng just as a friend and nothing more, and there’s nothing to be nervous or afraid about, but then he thinks of the other man’s smile and laugh and little touches and there’s a twisting in his gut that makes him understand that Han Geng is more than just a friend.

So he thinks back to all the girls he’s gone out with before and tries to treat it as no different from asking a girl out, and it’s always been easy for him to get girls falling all over themselves to go out with him. But he knows it’s not the same now. Han Geng is not a girl, for one, and Han Geng is just as wealthy as he is and not hungry for his wealth and status, and none of the girls he’s seen or known can hold a candle to Han Geng and the way he can make his heart jump.

Siwon frets about this for two weeks and then one night, when he’s in bed and almost asleep, his phone rings. He reaches out blindly for it and flips it open without bothering to look at the caller ID.

“… Mmm. Yes,” Siwon says blearily.

“I’m sorry, did I wake you up?” says a familiar accented voice, and Siwon bolts wide awake, sitting straight up in his bed with his heart pounding in his chest. He takes his phone from his ear and looks at the caller ID. Han Geng, it says.

“Shit,” he mutters, and swallows. Why, why does Han Geng have to call him? He isn’t prepared for this at all, nothing that he’s told himself and played out in his mind the past few weeks have prepared him for Han Geng calling him at a time when he’s tired and vulnerable and not expecting it.

“… Siwon? Are you there?” Han Geng’s voice comes out faintly, and Siwon presses the phone back to his ear again and tries to regulate his breathing.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m here, sorry,” he says.

“Did I wake you? I’m sorry if I did… look, I’ll call you tomorrow then,” Han Geng says.

“No!” Siwon almost shouts, his hands sweaty on the phone. He takes a deep breath. Steady, Siwon, steady. “No, I’m fine. How are you?” He then mentally facepalms. What a great conversationalist you are, Choi Siwon.

“Good, I’m good. Hey, I was wondering why you didn’t call me…”

There’s a pause as Siwon wishes he can be as straightforward and fearless as Han Geng. “Uh. I, uh, I tried, but, well, I was, uh…” he trails off.

“No matter,” Han Geng replies promptly, and there’s a trace of a smile in his voice. “Scion of the Choi family, I’m sure you have lots to do, I get it.”

“No, not that, I’m not busy, I just… I couldn’t… I mean I…”

“You couldn’t get up the nerve to call me?” Han Geng says teasingly, and Siwon thinks he might just die on the spot.

“No! No, I mean, no, just…”

Han Geng laughs then, the sound as enchanting as Siwon remembers, and he feels the butterflies in his stomach do a few extra flips.

“I was just joking, Siwon-ah. Anyway, I was wondering, are you free tomorrow for dinner?”

Siwon looks up to the heavens and thanks God for his dream come true… without him even needing to lift a finger.

“Yes,” he croaks, then clears his throat. “Yes, I’m good.”

“Perfect,” Han Geng says, and this time Siwon can practically hear the smile in his voice.

They agree on the time and meeting place (an upmarket Italian restaurant in the heart of Seoul), and when Siwon hangs up and leans back into his pillows he finds himself grinning like an idiot, and he can’t sleep the rest of the night.

Han Geng is as funny and warm and gorgeous as Siwon remembers him, and over beef carpaccio, osso bucco, and excellent red wine, Siwon forgets that he’s nervous and that his heart is beating maniacally and relaxes in the other man’s company.

He’s delighted to learn that Han Geng will be staying in Korea for at least a year to watch over his father’s arm of the business here, and before they know it they’re making plans to travel to Jeju-do together, go to Lotte World, all the crazy childish things that Han Geng says he’s always wanted to do, and they dissolve into laughter at their own outlandish plans, behaving like two college boys and not grown men already preparing to take over their fathers’ business empires.

They talk so long they close the restaurant, and their water brings the bill over with an apologetic look. “I’m sorry, sirs, but we’re closing…”

Siwon starts and looks at his watch, amazed that they’ve been chatting for four hours and don’t even know it. He apologizes to the waiter and reaches out for the check holder, but Han Geng grabs his wrist gently and takes it instead. “I’ll get this.”

“No, you can’t, I’ll do it.”

“I’m the one who asked you out.”

“You’re a guest in my country,” Siwon grins.

Han Geng looks up at him then, slipping a credit card into the holder and handing it to the waiter, and as the man walks off he says, “I don’t let my dates pay.”

Siwon blinks, wondering if he heard Han Geng right. The other man merely leans back against his chair, crossing his long lean legs, and Siwon swallows before venturing a hesitant, “D-date?”

Han Geng smiles. “Aren’t you?” he says.

There’s a moment of silence while Siwon grapples with himself internally, and then, throwing all caution to the wind, he leans over and grabs hold of Han Geng’s hand. “Thanks, but on our next date, I pay.”

Han Geng’s smile grows even wider and brighter and he squeezes Siwon’s hand back.

Siwon’s been on countless dates with countless girls, but he thinks this one with Han Geng is the best first date he’s ever been on.

Siwon discovers something else about Han Geng: he’s an extremely good kisser.

Han Geng’s lips are as soft as they look, and even sweeter than Siwon expects, and damn but he has the ability to kiss Siwon until he’s breathless and his legs have turned to jelly and Han Geng’s arms are the only things holding him up.

“How was that?” Han Geng asks, pulling away and breaking the strand of saliva that connects them before licking it off from the corner of his mouth.

“Do it again?” is Siwon’s reply, and Han Geng laughs and obliges.

“Shit, Geng, do that again,” Siwon gasps, his fingers gripping the edge of the bathtub so tightly his knuckles are white, and Han Geng hums again and Siwon jerks his hips reflexively but the other’s hands are on his hips, holding him back.

“Stop teasing me,” Siwon rasps, but Han Geng only chuckles and Siwon shivers as the vibrations run through his arousal and to the very tips of his fingers and toes. Then suddenly Han Geng pulls away from him, and Siwon growls at the loss of his mouth and reaches out to pull him back but he backs away, smiling.

“Geng, what are you playing at?” Siwon demands; he’s practically aching.

“My knees hurt,” Han Geng says smilingly, gesturing to the marble tiles of Siwon’s bathroom floor, where he was kneeling between Siwon’s legs.

Siwon gapes open-mouthed at him, and then he springs to his feet and advances like a predatory cat towards Han Geng, who continues backing away from him.

“Geng, stop this,” Siwon demands.

“Why, Siwon?” Han Geng asks guilelessly, only his eyes are dark and dancing and as far from guileless as one can get. He’s backed into the shower stall, and now he’s pressed against the far wall, and as Siwon steps inside he reaches out and turns the water on and cold water pours down on both of them.

“Geng!” Siwon yelps, turning the water off. “What do you think you’re doing?”

Han Geng laughs. “Playing?”

Siwon’s face darkens. “Fuck you, you little tease.”

“Wouldn’t you just love to, Siwon?” Han Geng says teasingly, and Siwon forgets all about the cold at the invitation. They’ve never done anything more than handjobs and blowjobs, and suddenly Siwon feels unsure and hesitant.

“Geng…” he begins, but Hankyung interrupts him.

“Don’t you want me, Siwon?”

Siwon eyes the trickles and drops of water snaking their way down Han Geng’s naked body, following every dip and hollow and curve, and feels slightly faint. He drags his eyes down to those impossibly long legs, and swallows hard as he imagines what they’ll feel like wrapped around him, but he holds back still.

“Geng, are you sure? I mean, we’ve never…”

“I love you, Siwon,” Han Geng says firmly. “I love you, and I want this, and I want you.”

Siwon’s jaw drops; they’ve never said the “L” word to each other either, and the incongruity of this strikes him - both of them naked and wet in a shower, contemplating whether to have sex, and saying this for the first time.

“Siwon…” Han Geng says, and this time it’s him who sounds hesitant.

Siwon decides he doesn’t need to think, and he leaps forward, grabbing Han Geng’s wrists, tugging them above his head as his lips go for the hollow at the base of his throat, putting his thigh in between Han Geng’s legs and rocking against him, and he smiles to himself as Han Geng gives a breathy little gasp at the contact.

“You know I want you too,” Siwon murmurs against Han Geng’s throat, and the other man shivers and closes his eyes when Siwon slides a finger, wet from the water, inside him.

“Does it hurt?” Siwon asks.

“No, keep going,” Han Geng whispers, and emboldened, Siwon slips another finger into him, and when Han Geng shows no signs of discomfort Siwon adds a third, and this time Han Geng hisses slightly, his teeth gritted together.

“Are you okay?” Siwon asks, stilling his fingers immediately.

Han Geng nods. “Yeah, I’m fine… just takes some getting used to, that’s - oh!” he almost yells, as Siwon crooks his fingers slightly, and his hips grind downwards instinctively.

“What was that?” he gasps, opening his eyes and staring at Siwon.

“Prostate?” Siwon suggests, grinning, and he flicks his fingers at the exact same spot and watches as Han Geng trembles and lets slip a low moan.

In a matter of seconds Han Geng’s been reduced to a shaking mess and Siwon has to curl his free arm around him to prop him up, as he bucks and moans and his fingers dig into Siwon’s arms.

“Please, please, Siwon, please…” Han Geng’s almost begging, and Siwon removes his fingers, Han Geng whimpering a little at the loss of contact.

“Put your legs around my waist,” Siwon orders, and Han Geng does so before Siwon pushes himself in. Han Geng ducks his face into Siwon’s shoulder and bites down slightly.

“Okay?” Siwon asks, concerned, and Han Geng nods shakily.

Siwon pushes himself further, slowly, until he’s seated fully inside of Han Geng, but Han Geng’s face is pale and he’s shaking slightly.

“Geng, are you alright?” Siwon asks worriedly, pressing his lips to his lover’s cheek and kissing him gently.

“Yeah… give me a while,” Han Geng whispers.

They stay still for a minute until Han Geng nods and says, “Okay, go” and Siwon begins moving, slowly at first, watching Han Geng’s face closely, but picking up the pace once he sees his face relaxing and hears his breath coming out in quick little pants.

“Faster, Siwon,” Han Geng gasps, wrapping his legs even tighter around Siwon, his nails raking down Siwon’s arms and leaving trails of red. Siwon hitches Han Geng up higher against the wall and slams into him, hard, and Han Geng literally mewls, clamping down around Siwon, and Siwon groans at the tightness.

Han Geng slips his hand frantically in between their bodies to stroke himself, his hips bucking against Siwon, and then he says something breathlessly in Chinese and Siwon doesn’t understand the words, but he understands the meaning behind them.

He thrusts himself harder into Han Geng, bumping the little knot of nerves inside him, and Han Geng throws his head back against the wall, practically yelling Siwon’s name as he comes into his hand, and Siwon feels himself release as well as Han Geng clamps down maddeningly around him, all tight heat and slick wetness and pulsating muscle.

They fall to the floor in a tangle of wet sticky limbs, panting, and Han Geng’s still shivering from the aftershocks even as Siwon turns over tiredly and places a hand on his chest, smearing the streaks of white fluid there.

“How was that?” he asks, and Han Geng chuckles tiredly.

“So fucking good,” he breathes, still in Chinese, and this Siwon understands, and he smiles and places a kiss on his temple, before he remembers there’s something else he has to say.

“I love you, Geng,” he whispers, and for good measure, repeats it in Chinese to him.

Han Geng doesn’t say anything, but his face lights up in a smile, and Siwon discovers that for the first time ever, he’s really, honestly, madly in love, and he probably has been from the moment he laid eyes on Han Geng.

He’s just surprised that it took sex in his bathroom, of all things, for him to figure it out.

Over the next few months, whenever their busy schedules allow, they go to Lotte World, and to Jeju-do, and to out-of-the-way little eateries that cost a fraction of the price that their first date cost, and Siwon discovers that wherever they are, whatever they do, he’s always happy, and he’s never been happier in his life.

His heart never stops leaping at the sound of Han Geng’s laughter, and the butterflies in his stomach never really go away at the sound of his voice, but he’s happy, and he’s in love, and Siwon discovers that’s all that really matters.
