Down day

Today was not the best day. I find myself focusing on the bumps I hit on my path since I awoke: yesterday's wonderful yoga has left me with painfully straining back and neck muscles, my second-to-last session with a client put me in a Catch-22 as we both wondered whose fault it was that he seems worse off than when we started, my other client of ( Read more... )

Sometimes after doing intense transformative work it feels like you are worse off because you SEE where you are and where you need to go. The blinders are removed. So perhaps your client isn't worse off, just more aware. While that doesn't make it comfortable, it's a starting point.

Happily, I've reached a place where I'm glad to notice mistakes as I make them. As opposed to when I first started this, I now have enough experience to know how to learn from these mistakes. This particular slump could be me picking up clients' depressions or just a down day. Regardless of the cause, I guess I'm learning that my resilience takes a hit when I'm sad. So that thank you is also for reminding me that I have love and support when I need it.
