Movie #20 - Real Steel
Hugh Jackman. Need I say more?
Well ok, it's a bit more than Hugh Jackman, I probably did not register much of the rest :)
Movie was good, fun, light, well made. Good special effects too, gotta love the robots, they were simply brilliant. The scenario was ok, basic, enough to create an excuse for special effects.
I think I would have enjoyed the film more if I had any interest in boxing. As such, I was not really appealed by that side of the film, and just enjoyed a good pop corn movie with a feel good end. Admittedly, I looked away from the plot holes which do gap at you throughout the movie. It seems that nowadays there is no way of avoiding them in any entertainment blockbuster film anymore.
Which this was, and I don't think I wanted anything else from it :) Although I do have to add that, had Hugh Jackman not been in it, it probably would not have been as successful as it was as besides him and robots, there is not much to see.
So go ahead and watch, just remember to make popcorn!
