Draco found some pebbles on the walk up to the Weasley’s house. Once he was facing Ginny’s window he lightly tossed them at the window to wake Ginny up. They had had a fight. Again. And he didn’t want to wait until morning to make up.
After a few tosses of the pebbles Ginny’s face appeared, “What do you want?” she asked, with a bit of snap in her voice.
“I just wanted to talk…can you come out?” Draco asked, his voice slightly above a whisper.
“What is there to talk about, Draco?” there was no mistaking the snap in her voice now, she obviously wasn’t pleased, “What if I don’t want to hear the things you say? Remember yesterday when I needed you? Where were you?”
“I know I haven’t always been a great boyfriend, Gin, but please talk to me,” Draco pleaded. He knew he sounded pathetic, like one of those nancy-boys in the Muggle novels he sometimes read, but he couldn’t help it. He couldn’t lose her.
“Why do you do that?” Ginny demanded, her eyes flashing, “You act like I owe you something. I don’t. Your apology is too little too late. Have a great life.” Ginny closed her window and pulled the curtains over them, leaving Draco to feel completely helpless. He couldn’t lose her, they had come this far.
He walked around the house again before stopping at the porch. At this moment he hated Scarhead. If Scarhead hadn’t insisted upon talking to Ginny than Draco would have been able to control his snickering, and Ginny wouldn’t have gotten angry with Draco. If Ginny hadn’t gotten angry with Draco than he would have been able to control his temper and not yelled at Ginny.
This was Harry freakin’ Potter’s fault!
But at this moment it wasn’t Potter who was losing Ginny, it was Draco. And Draco knew he needed to do something very bold to win her back.

Ginny woke the next morning with a terrible headache. After she had shut the window on Draco she had cried herself to sleep. Thus the headache. And the puffy eyes that come with it, like a bad hangover. Except that you don’t get to do any actual drinking to cause the same feeling.
After washing her face she walked down the stairs to see what was for breakfast. Charlie was home on a vacation, and he was currently getting the news paper off the front porch. When he came back inside he gave Ginny a strange look before saying, “Did anyone owl order a Malfoy? Because there is one sleeping on our front porch.”
Ginny’s eyes flashed wildly. It wasn’t enough that he had to wake her up in the middle of the night to remind her that she was in love with a complete and total arse, but to sleep on her parent’s porch?! What was wrong with him?
She decided she would find out, she marched herself to the porch, where there was a Draco sleeping on the little bench. He in no way fit, he was all curled up, his hands in his pants pockets trying to keep warm. He looked lovely, but she wasn’t going to be distracted, “What don’t you just drop dead?” she yelled at him before slamming the door.
“Trouble in paradise?” Fred asked, his eyes twinkling, trying to hide a smile.
Ginny glared at him as there was a knock at the door, “Shut up!” she said before turning back to the door, she opened it to reveal a very tousled Draco, “What do you want now?” she asked.
“I confess, I messed up,” he started.
“Yes, you did. Now go away.”
“Is that what you want, Gin? To write me off like I’m a lost cause?”
“You can’t help it, Draco. You’re you. And I don’t blame you for being you. But you can’t blame me for hating the way you act sometimes.” Ginny said, her eyes filled with tears. She couldn’t believe it had come to this. This being having such a public break up. In front of people who would ecstatic about them breaking up. They might as well call Lucius and Narcissa over to watch the show.
“Then stay with me. Keep me honest, Gin. I’m not such a long shot, I swear.” Draco pleaded.
They were at a stand still now.
“Kiss her,” George said suddenly, “Just kiss her already. I want to eat breakfast, and Mum isn’t going to have it ready until Ginny stops yelling at you.”
Draco smirked, “Shall I kiss you now? So that your brothers can go eat breakfast?”
Ginny smiled as well, “If would be for the greater good. Ron can be a troll if he misses meals.”
Draco rolled his eyes before he leaned down for the kiss.
