Never heard of Mr. Transtömer before in my life, but I'm very pleased for him.

Since I am unaware of any still-living poet deserving of a prize of any kind, I can't accuse him of having an advantage. I'm sure he's very worthy. Swedes tend to be ;)

As much as I really dislike Apple, I can admit that Steve Jobs did his part for the technology world. It's always a pity when a genius dies.

I was sorry about Steve Jobs, but he certainly packed a lot into 57 years.

Good for your poet. I did go and look at a couple of translations. Failed to really get in tune with them, but then I did just glance. I will have another look at some point.

I'm not the biggest Apple!Fan, I don't like the whole hype - BUT Steve Jobs seemed to be a decent guy ... a visionary.

I never heard about Tranströmer before, until I saw a report about him on TV the other day. I like the way he sets a mood with just two or three words. It's a pity with his strokes, though.
