LOL! I guess you could because 'the man' is always the one who is in charge. Now that a black man is President I guess he is 'the man'.

But really white men are still in charge. Look at a list of CEO's of the top 100 companies in the US or the richest people in the US. They aren't all white men but they are a majority. I think that they actually have more power than the President. Bush didn't cause the mortgage mess, it was the CEO's and managers of the mortgage and investment companies.
