Dang, T, that's some serious suckage. I'm really sorry about the vanished and ill dogs. Those attacks are seriously scary, too.
As for writing, I haven't written in my own stories since late May (though I'm editing the 8 shorts I have now, at least in theory, and will be submitting soon) and it's making me crazy, so I understand. But school, work, and my other activities have been kicking my butt.
That is certainly a crap storm that you've living through. I'm sorry about everything nasty going on. :-(
I know it's a lousy condolence, but a pleasant, short life with lots of food and attention is infinitely better than a brutal, abrupt one ended by fire ants and dehydration.
(I'm still hoping Corwin has found himself a bunch of buddies who eat someone else's dog food.)
Have y'all confronted this woman about Corwin? I know she might lie but you might find out for sure. Don't know if that's better than not knowing.
The decision on Elionwy is so very hard. Even when you know you're making the right call it still hurts so very much.
I wish I had good advice on the attacks. Since they were directed attacks most of the usual advice doesn't apply. All I can hope is that the police catch the bastards quickly.

I need to get two flash fictions and two short stories slapped into shape and out.
I've got ideas for two more short stories I need to tinker with.
The novel I'm working on is over 10,000 words and growing by about 1,000 a night.
Like James Taylor sang, I guess I'm trying 'to leave my body and live in my mind.'

Two rounds of three? Is there a third round coming?
Shoud I worry about the trifecta of suckage?

Nada.
David was pretty sure they (or someone else) had just stolen Corwin so he started cruising Craigslist looking for a pet crow for sale.
I'm pretty sure someone hosed down our porch. . .

I've never had these problems so I can't even advise you.
All I've got are blessings and happy thoughts to send to you and yours. Not much but currently all I've got...
