Yes, I'm talking about the whole wankfest on Mecha Erotica. I missed it because I was taking my daughter to a doctor appointment but I heard about it later. Read the comments when they were reactivated. Shook head and facepalmed a lot. Saw some of the other comments people made in their own journals too ( Read more... )

I've also seen the post on the Padded Cell, which, as you may have noticed, is riddled with spelling and grammar errors ( ... )

Both people that I knew of that were underage are now of age, so they are now not an issue. Haven't had a chance to check out the Cell yet but I'm assuming its more of the same. Spelling and grammar errors don't surprise me.

It's so hard to tell. I was surprised you are underage when I met you, your writing and your attitude are so much more mature. I honestly thought you were older. Compared the whiners now flocking here to try to belittle me, well there is no comparison. Apples and oranges.

That's exactly it. Same old story. Its why lawyers make so much money. Just wait until they start claiming hardship.

Actually, I've got two. Entitlement? Now who's blowing things out of proportion. I defended the mods of a comm that I felt was being unfairly attacked and was a lot politer about it than you are being. In fact VS was a lot politer than you. My problem was the lack of respect which you clearly don't have either. I haven't disrespected anyone, though I know you disagree. Respect to you is playing yes man to your friends. I just can't see why everyone is so upset. If a mod wants to ban everyone with an "R" in their screenname...well, they can. So M_E mods are putting thier foot down? So what? That is their perogative, and doesn't give other people the right to troll around looking for places to start disagreements. If someone is unhappy because their fic was pulled, then find another place to post. Duh. There is always the Pit.

I'll tell you what, Tia. Bring your kids over to play with mine and I'll bust out some melot and we can drink to your entitled butt. ;) Hubby can watch the offspring.

As I mentioned on another comment and to a certain wolfish mutal friend, I find it ironic that the people who's fics I actually enjoy are the ones agreeing with me and the naysayers write stuff that doesn't interest me. Boy, they are touchy. Kinda like my inlaws. Only my inlaws can argue better. These girls don't measure up. I'm amused.

I got bored with the sniping and set my journal to friend only. And they ain't on the list.

It sounds like this a case of youth and skill will be trumpted by experience and trechary? yes, they are touchy. I actually got perverse amusement out of reading the posts.

I reguards t what you told the wolfish friend, I completely agree with you, and I have a feeling that if Botcon wasn't cong on that most of this wouldn't be going down. Didn't something hit the fan last year at Botcon? I can't remember, I have killed a few braincells since then. I can't wait to hear/see what the others think when they return.

I belive I will have to clean my list up in the near future also.

Yes. With things like that you have to take a step back, take a deep breath and laugh yourself stupid over the idiocy.

I don't remember if it did. I wouldn't be surprised. Big events certainly draws the silliness out of people like nothing else.

I've started that. Added a few new people and dumped one. Will peek through it again but it's not long.

Yeah... umm... I've had to take fic down from M_E before because it wasn't in line with the rules. No big really... certainly nothing to get worked up over. Still love the comm, and the mods, actually glad there's a no-sticky rule there ( ... )

Their arguments were loaded with name calling, straw man arguments and ad hominen attacks. Everything they argued others were doing. And bringing in the kids? Wow, I was stunned. Tia is a bad parent because she thinks following the rules is important? That's the argument they're making. Sheesh.

Hrm, yeah... two years back just after the Movie, I did a little Jazz/Bee Movieverse smutfic with holos and implied holo!sex on top of alt-modes (dunno if you remember it). Wasn't aware M_E didnt allow the holosmut so posted it. Was asked to take it down, did so in the next moment. No biggie really. It's still there on my Quill LJ ( ... )
