You know that the sable squirrel is also a genetic mutation very similar to an albino?

Well...it's an overproduction of melanin, rather than a loss of the melanin gene. So, same gene, different mutation, very different phenotype. Unlikely that the sable squirrel is, e.g., an offspring of the albino one (assuming it was truly an albino - I never got close enough to see its eye color).
