Car update - they haven't looked at it (not unexpected) should be after lunch sometime and they had a long thing about jumping and stalling and stuff.
*sighs*
Seriously, I'm starting to question sending the car to the dealer, or rather, THIS dealer. Their service department has gone downhill, more than a bit snarky and entitled. I'm actually reminded of a former dealership whose service department treated me so badly I wouldn't go in for service at all. (It wasn't just me. I went in after my engine got replaced, because I'd promised the other service guy I would and found an all new staff. Seems the guy who'd been awful to me had lost SO MANY customers, then been rude to the wrong people that he and his whole staff got canned. One can only hope this will happen at this dealer too.)
I honestly do NOT LIKE being interrupted by a service person, nor do I appreciate having my concerns pooh=pooh'd because they are busy. I DON'T work in service because you MUST treat every customer like they are your only one, and stress yourself out over it. That doesn't mean I don't know how I'd like to be treated - and I'm VERY polite and careful. PLEASE do answer that ringing phone, no I can wait, I have a few questions, and I know they're dumb I appreciate you taking the time (like me calling that woman in Border's a bitch because she was upset she had to wait more than a minute to buy her crappy books. Give the poor clerks a chance, and respect those who were there BEFORE you!)
So yeah, lets see how this goes. I wonder if I'm going down there to get my car and have it taken ELSEWHERE later today. I wonder what that would do to the manager "I'm sorry, I'm flat out sick of your attitude, I've come to get my car and have it taken to your competition, just like I did when I bought it."
I just want my car fixed. I don't think that's too much to ask.
