*laugh* Well... I don't think the third Dream Live is subbed. Here's the link to the first part of the only 'full' version that I think there is--there are 13 parts, but you can figure them out once you have the first. ^^ I won't reply for awhile, as I leave for a medical mission in Honduras tomorrow, but if you don't speak Japanese and have any questions about anything they're saying, you're certainly welcome to ask me. ^^
The musical, however, is subbed, and if you use bittorrent, it can be found on http://www.animesuki.com. (I find it much easier to watch these things when they're actually a file, rather than YouTube.)
HYOMYU = BEST THING EVER. I can burn copies of all the versions [summer + winter] as well as backstages, as well as DL3 and backstage. 8D Because it's just THAT GOOD. 8DDD
OH MY GOD, I MIGHT LOVE YOU FOREVER IF YOU DO. (Crap, I really AM turning into an incoherent fangirl.)
But then I realise that you are in Singapore, and that would be far too much trouble for you. ;_; Sadness! Though on the other hand, I will be back in the Philippines in two weeks and counting...
(Hello! I'm still supposed to be taking a break from the computer . . . especially since the screen is actually breaking, so I probably will be forced off pretty soon. But I stopped by my friendslist in the few minutes I have.)
::grin:: That musical is so much fun, isn't it? I feel like they just keep getting better and better--especially because as of the one or two most recent ones they seem to have perfected the song-to-speaking ratio. (Namely with a lot of song . . .) Atobe has a great scene in the Rokkaku musical, if you end up watching it.
And if it helps, the Ryoma actor (who I think we've all made fun of at some point) is actually the Ryoma from the first musical, who got into a pretty major car accident shortly after it finished and is still pretty obviously recuperating. So on the one hand, you can see why he sings and dances badly! . . . On the other, you wonder why they decided to cast him again.
*luffles you!* I hope your break is going well, dear, and that it is relaxing. I don't know how you do it--I think I would go mad--but I really respect your dedication
( ... )
*laugh* Yeah--that's where I got the musical; I can't seem to find a subbed copy of the Dream Live 3, though. I don't need the subs, but unfortunately, the people who I think I may actually inflict it on don't speak Japanese, and we don't have broadband in my home in the Philippines. Well, if I can find a Bittorrent version, though, that'll be more than enough--I can translate on the fly if I must. ^^
rackets has all the myus up to DL3. :D Also all the manga and episodes (but you have to join).
And Yanagi can't sing because of the accident (he can barely speak, even). He's still really cute though. X3
Katou as Atobe is amazing!! I <3 Katou, I follow his solo singing career now too. X3 I'm a huge nerd for him (I have his DL3 photoset framed in my room and I have his 2007 calendar X3

...I wrote a long, really rambly, really fangirly answer to your comment, and then lost it when the LJ server decided it was too busy. *laugh* But mostly I was just agreeing with you and/or being a dweebling. So believe it or not... this is the abbreviated version.
I've just spent most of the afternoon watching the third Dream Live more times than is really reasonable... and I have to admit, there are a couple of characters/actors that have since really grown on me.
The fellow who plays Shishido (KenKen?) I admit disappointed me a bit in the musical, just because it's really hard, I think, to match the sheer adorable hotness that is the guy who plays Ootori (Koji Date?) But over the course of my rewatching, he's really grown on me--for one, in Dream Live you get to see a lot more of the Shishido attitude--and even the way he moves, and stands, is spot-on character. And, well, the more I see of him, the cuter I find him. *laugh*
Hiyoshi, oddly, grew on me like a weed during the Dream Live. For one, he's got one of the strongest
( ... )
Oh one of the things that really amuses me, is that Katou Kazuki (Atobe) and Takuya (Jirou) are actually REALLY good friends off stage. So naturally there's a lot of fan service there. XD
I LOVE Kabaji, actually, I thought he was hilarious.
Oh and Hiyoshi for the most part scares me (for some reason he reminds me of Fester from the Addams Family o_O) but I loved that part when Seigaku was "Gekokujou da ze! Hmm hmm hmm~". XDDD
I think that the stronger singers in Hyoutei are probably Atobe, Oshitari and Hiyoshi. Kenken isn't too bad actually, I think it's partially because he's trying to sing in character.
Oh and I can understand the whole Shishido thing, and I blame it on the fact that Kenken himself is incredibly adorable and happy, so it would be hard for him to get Shishido exactly right, I think. XDDD
Oh man, I could go on about tenimyu for hours, but I think I'll leave you with that. XDDDD
*LAUGH* Oh, God, I swear, these actors just make it so very easy to slash them, and I don't even believe in Real Person Slash!
The Kabaji player is pretty amazing--though I could have sworn that in one of the backstage things, he said that he was actually 14 at the time of the first Hyoutei musical! O_O And I have to agree with Atobe--Kabaji being embarrassed about Atobe telling him that his outfit suits him is really unexpectedly cute, and I'm glad that they put that into the Dream Live.
*giggle* Seigaku mocking Hiyoshi was hilarious--though I think that Hyoutei was so much meaner about mocking Ooishi that they definitely won that one. ^_~ I think what I liked about the way Kawai Ryuunosuke played him was that he was so very stone-faced, and he carried off the idea of being respectful in word but not in spirit thing wonderfully. ^^ Plus, well, I was writing Mari-stuff at the time, so I go through phases where I just adore Hiyoshi in general to bits. ^_
