At first, I thought everyone going on about Micaiah having silver was weird. It's not exactly an uncommon hair color in FE and they never call it grey or white--not even her enemies. On the other hand...

It's also actually something of a throwback, too. Typically "silver" hair is a special trait - Diadora and Julia both have it, and it's especially noted in the Oosawa manga adaptation of FE4. And even though it's not as emphasized, girls with special magical heritage tend to have silvery-colored hair -- Sophia, Idoun, Ninian, Lyon /shot Even though they tend to look no more outlandish than the other colors, people often comment on them looking or seeming "different".

I haven't read the manga yet. But it seems like mage hair colors tend to fall into white, green, and purple-ish.
