Sloth Social -or- Zoofari tour

Some of you may be aware of my current obsession with sloths. . . I decided to research whether it would be possible to visit with one without going to Central/South America.

I found a place in Sylmar, California (Cooky, we were less than an hour from there on Sunday!) that offers either a Sloth Social or a Private Zoofari Tour. (map/directions:  Read more... )

Up close visit with a sleepy Two-Toed Sloth! (If Available)

Hoping your Sloth is Available on this special day.

We're driving through Sylmar on April 11th or 12th, and again on the 15th or 16th -- if only you were joining us, that would have been a fun side visit.

still not enough incentive to want to spend 7+ hours in a car with teenaged males! but nice try :)

Thank you. :-)

I think you'd be surprised by how much fun you'd have.

And I think you're wise to build up to something like that. Let's try something less aggressive for a first trip together.

For example:

And teenagers might frighten the Sloth away.

M .. read the fine print .. it does say "if available"

Thank you T for appreciating my effort. Maybe we'll go see the sloths without you! :-)

M&Z are more likely sloth *whisperers*. They're atypical. Like me.

T, while you'd likely be surprised by how much fun you'd have, I think you're wise to build up to a 7-hour road trip. Let's try something less aggressive for a first trip with the guys.

this sounds totally amazing. Pet a sloth and a fennec fox AND hold an owl?? Incredible.
Of course this isn't in my current austerity plan, but if you do it far enough in the future, maybe I could go.
If not, I want a full report!
