Nothing like a nice large monitor. I always get the best monitor I can afford. I've got a 22" widescreen LCD right now, but I plan on getting a 27" when I've got the extra money. That along with a good keyboard and mouse are some of the best investments you can make for your system. I spent $90 on a very nice mechanical spring-key keyboard a few weeks back. Definitely worth it, and it should last at least a decade.
Yep, if you seriously want to force yourself to become a touch typist. I pretty much can, but I still wouldn't want the blank one, I play too many games where touch typing skills don't translate perfectly. I just wish they'd make an ergonomic version. That's really the only thing that I'd improve.
