[It had been a long while since Lottie had returned to New Orleans. After the initial reunion with Big Daddy, Tiana, Naveen, and Eudora, thing soon returned to that nice, slow but upbeat, southern pace.
Lottie spent her days visiting the newlyweds at Tiana's Palace, gossiping with the townsgirls, shopping, hosting small parties... all back to the "mundane" grindstone. There really wasn't anything exciting happening that she hadn't done before, nothing completely out of the ordinary. It made her miss a certain mutant she had met. Truth be told, the longer she went about her everyday life, the more she began to think about him and miss him, not to mention worry about him.
Though, perhaps she shouldn't have thought that nothing "out of the ordinary" was happening. Some of the hired help of Big Daddy's were a little on edge, saying that the house was haunted, that there was a demon that had been awakened, that they have seen an inhuman shadow creeping about. Lottie initially didn't believe a word they said, however. For one, hauntings were incredibly common in New Orleans; but more importantly, she had lived in that mansion her entire life and had never seen or felt any ghosts. Although, the possibility of a newly awakened spirit dwelt in the back of her mind; scary things, especially after the voodoo incident, didn't sit well with her.
It wasn't just sightings, though. Food began disapearing, even if it was in small quantities. Could spirits get hungry? Lottie had no idea. All she knew was that even she was starting to believe the rumors.
On a humid night, she sat in front of her vanity, brushing out her silky blonde hair from hairsprayed pincurls. It caused her locks to loosly dangle, making much broader, but smooth waves. Lottie had spent the day running away from suitors who, quite frankly, were missing tact and manners. The La Bouff blood hound, Stella, was on her "pedistal", a large dog bed that was like a miniature version of Lottie's own, propped up a few feet with steps leading up to it. Stella lifted her nose into the air, and took a few big whiffs. Her hackles stood up a bit, and she softly growled before barking at something in the room.]
Oh, Stellah! Hush! Stop that barkin' or Big Daddy's goin' t'set you outside for th'night again.
[Lottie didn't want to deal with the noise. She was still flustered from the suitors' unwanted advances, and just needed to be at peace. Heck, she hadn't even bothered to turn to her dog as she spoke. Stella whined a little, hackles still up. but Lottie was a little preoccupied with looking in the mirror as she continued to brush out her hair.
But then... something in the relfection of her room caught her eye... some sort of movement. Even Stella froze and began to growl at it again.]
Wh-who's there? M-Mistah Spirit?
