Oh gawd. I'm watching the movie Earthlings and it's just so horrible. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat meat again after watching this. >.< Thank you,
veganpeople and
edgiko for making my choice easier. Excuse me, but I have to go watch the rest and bawl my eyes out some more. ;_;

Also, to warn you about veganpeople, lots of snarky people there. It's died down some, but if you're having issues with cravings (well you can post about that)/fell off the bandwagon (people do)/anything else that maybe seen as not vegan or you not being a good one, I suggest vegan_zen. Though it's kind of dead, the people there are really nice and won't start throwing snark at you. (plus surlynymph is pretty nice.
vegancooking is a reaaally awesome place for recipes.
Also, just..don't bring up Honey. Causes a huge amount of debate/wank. XD
Also, get the book Becoming Vegan. It's a really good guide and it has a lot of helpful advice and helps out with the nutritional information as well.
I follow like..five million vegan blogs, but I recommend Vegan YumYum and PostPunkKitchen (Isa <3). Some people follow Vegan Lunchbox, and I do as well, but since I do not have a bento..I honestly haven't tried any of the recipes.

I will try to get that book when I can. I don't think it's going to be that bad, though, once I finish the damn fish oil pills I have (that's gonna be like a week and a half). I also have some stuff with cheese that I am trying to eat before I go vegan on saturday, but I might not finish all of it. There's a few frozen pizzas, and I'm the only person who eats them. So, while I don't think I will ever be able to eat anything chicken without puking, I will probably be eating cheese for a little longer. But I think I can be fully vegan within a month, with just minor slip-ups.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad or what that these documentaries still don't make me change my eating habits, though.
Good on you for making the choice, though! My older cousin went vegan sometime around...idk, a year ago? 2? (my sense of time is all defunkt)
I know she asked my family to read The Ethics of What We Eat so of course I did that too.
It seems like a hard transfer (especially if you're used to meat), but I think it's great if you stay with it. Good luck!

Not everybody is ready for changes. I wouldn't beat yourself up about it too much. You know the facts, and it's a choice you'd like to make. You're just human, like everybody else on the planet.

I had been struggling with that myself, but I've also made my decision. :)
