Kansas

I got started off a day late, as I needed more time then I thought to get ready, so I decided to get dropped off about 20 north of the Oklahoma/Kansas border instead of the Texas/Oklahoma border. I got started at 11 am and rode north until 6:30. I had about 2 hours of breaks in there, mostly trying to fix various equipment problems and getting my ( Read more... )

Hey man, you aren't quitting, it's just a strategic advance to the rear, that's all.

You'll get back to it someday. Start planning that day now. Hell, instead of going southeast to northwest, plan to go northwest to southeast and make the most of that wind. But start planning time now.

Any which way you cut it, you did a hell of a lot more than most of us would ahve. Okay, a hell of a lot more than *I* would have, I can guarantee you that. Took a lot of balls to do that, these days.

So what's with the European trip? This is the first I can recall hearing about it...

*g* I love the way Gamers can redefine anything in military terms ;)

I already am planning ;) I know several things to do differently next time, and I've already got all of the equipment that I need, so really it's just a question of figuring out when I want to do it. We'll see.

*l* Thanks! It was fun, and I definatly enjoy biking now more then I had expected.

Europe, for 2.5 months, assuming my passport gets to me in time. Lots of L5R playing, some work, and a good deal of sightseeing. Start in Germany and go west and south for a while.

It could be worse. The wind could have had some sort of pointy things that would have been ouchy! That'd have sucked. Gimme a call when you get back in town. We'll hook up for some lunch or something.

Or hail. The hail out here is deadly stuff. I saw several windshields go out the last time it hailed. That would have been bad, what with the big Kansas plain and no where to hide.

Lunch sounds great, especially after the really long email that I just sent you ;)

I'm happy to know that you're safe.

And I'm for one still impressed....though admiring someone for being crazy, sure says something about my own sanity, ne? *L*
