Well, I am finally back in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. I have been here for 2 weeks, though I have been damned busy for all of that time. I finally had time today to through and read all the friend posts from the last 3 weeks. I've made some of the comments that I want to make, but I've got some long posts to make before too long. As soon as I ( Read more... )

I might have to play this game...being a history major and all. Hows the art?

It's amazing. Justin Walsh (2000 L5R world champ) is our art director, and our artists include some of the best L5R and Magic arists out there. We'll have a bunch of art going up on our website in mid-Jan, and the game releases in mid-March.

My friend asks is it going to play like L5R or more like Magic?
But this sounds like a game, so far, that I might really like to play. I dunno...I really like L5R but I can't get into the card game aspect, as you know. Will it be something that I could pick up???

Neither. You don't shuffle cards at any time in the game, a tournament deck is 25 cards. There is no random drawing, you set everything up blind at the beginning of each of 5 fights, and it is fast. It is more like a miniatures game with cards then an actual card game, as you are on a board/grid and play on that by moving cards around, a opposed to playing on an imaginary field with no defined positioning.

Pirates are going to be in the 3rd set, and, of course, where there are pirates, there will be monkeys ;) How could there not be?

Just on a tangent thought here...

Is there every a moment that we are not changing?

I know that certain core parts of my personality don't necessarily change, or if they do, it takes time or those 'big' moments.

Btw, if I've not said so, Anachronism is excellent and I wish all of you the best of luck with it. Oh, and btw, are you going to do a Joan of Arc? *nudge* Any other female warriors, eh?

And it seems I still have to come up to Seattle, doesn't it? *L*

Anyway, *hugs* see you in a week or so.

Yes, we are changing on a fairly consistant basis, but we are also only finding it a rarity that we change in noticable ways, which is usually what people mean when they say "I have changed."

Thanks! It is a lot of fun, and it is looking good. Yes, we will be doing Joan of Arc. There are 3 female warriors in teh first set.

Yes, you do need to come to seattle. Also, I might not make it to KC, we'll see. I'll let you know when I know.

*hugs*
