So went out had a grand time wandering and jsut enjoying life with jane. Came back and this link greeted me above my emails and I have to share.

I know the sister of the mother doing this; she lives in Edmonton. The entire family is unconventional, and the decision doesn't surprise me one bit. I don't think if I were the daughter that I would want to use the eggs, but in 20 to 25 years I'm sure a lot of thinking in that regard will have changed, too. And, who knows? Maybe in 20 to 25 years they will be able to find a way for the daughter to reproduce using her own DNA.

It's not technically inbreeding. The child produced by the daughter will be genetically her daughter's partner's and the mother's. I don't have any problems on that score and even say kudos to the mother for thinking ahead. At very least it gives the daughter an option

I CAN predict some problems and squabbling when a child is born with the squickage idea that "this is my sister not my daughter" - bvut the act of giving birth may change that. I don't know. Oh and I suspect the mother may be a biiiiit more helicopter-y
