Earthquake check in

Mar 29, 2014 00:25

Felt the earthquake, but it wasn't that bad at my house. Rattling, but I don't think anything fell and I haven't seen any cracks. (Was more the rolling-rumbly kind than the hard shaking kind.)

Goodness! Well, I'm glad it was just a shake.

Glad you're okay. Earthquakes are something I've never managed to experience, despite having apparently been in one a few years ago.

I grew up here, so... yeah, earthquakes. (The most annoying one was the one in the middle of finals. That was... yeah. Largely because it involved everyone having to troop out of the buildings and stand around in the courtyard while they checked to make sure the building were safe, and then all file back in and then there was an aftershock. And then some teachers had people finish and some didn't and it ended up being a really annoying grading complication that year.)

This one I was like 'yeah, slow, rolling, lasted a while, but no hard shaking', I shall move out from under the large print behind glass, then when it stops take a quick glance around and make sure nothing obvious is wrong. There are some where I don't even bother to do that much.
