So is this like a continuing spectrum? Like something really bad happens and then something really good happens and then in turn something really bad happens again, and so on, to the same extreme? Or does it eventually even out?

It'd be kind of hard to live life that way, just in the sense that if something really great happens you would almost, in turn, shoot yourself in the foot because you would expect something bad to happen, making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. But then again, I suppose it would be somewhat uplifting that when something bad happens you know that something good will happen in turn, again as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm glad you're on the good side of the spectrum now.
