Trying to wrap my head around the day.

Has anybody else noticed that once you stop making lists & looking at your planner your life goes to an unmanageable shit? I've definitely noticed this in the last few months of being a freelancer again. It makes a *huge* difference in my day. I was all twitchy a couple of moments ago about the work I had to do today but making the list made it ( Read more... )

It means you're supposed to stand in the kitchen to make your list! :P

I *totally* know what you mean about things falling to shit without the lists. I, too, am list dependent. Without them, I seem to do a great deal of aimless dinking around. Even when the list is filled with rather vacuous tasks, I still need the list...I would be lost without my smartphone and wish it had a better list app than the craptastic Outlook task list.

Yes! Even for the weekend, I have to make lists otherwise I'll forget to do things like, make stock, clean under the desk, etc. The boy's still struggling with that concept because he "just does it, don't have to plan it all" but to me it's just a different method of working.
