This is totally how I feel about my situation and needing to take one business day a week for myself:

I know a ton of designers who take a day off each week for personal/marketing/admin stuff, etc. and it works great for them. I do it too, but it tends to be either Monday or Thursday. Also, though, the big thing to break up is your marketing tasks; do a little each day so it doesn't overwhelm you - unless one of those tasks is coding/designing your site.

Lists and plans are your friend.

Yeah, it's funny that I'm only reaching this point now. I was wide awake at 3AM doing the hourly math and I can totally afford to do this. I can work xx number of hours needed to meet my financial goals during the four days with maybe an hour or so spillover into an off day. That could be something as simple as sending emails, phone calls, etc.

My boy is on board with it as well and said lots of folks find it makes them even more efficient because they *know* their time constraints. I'm feeling really good about this. May I ask, how did you decide on Monday or Thursdays? Fridays seem really obvious to me but after some feedback, Wednesday might be better because it's a hump day break.

Also, mind if I tap your brain sometime in future about marketing strategies and who you used to help coach you along? I feel I'm almost at the point needing one and definitely need to get a strategy down.

Thanks so much once again.
