I had my FINAL dress fitting this morning. I got a little tipsy watching Comic Relief last night and my God I felt like I was going to faint with the wedding dress on!  The adjustments have been made, it all looks lovely. Just one problem: When I wore it today, I felt ugly. U.G.L.Y.  I was thinking 'beautiful dress, horrible face' *
That's not how I ( Read more... )

I was the same. I had this beautiful dress on and all I could see was my giant face and terrible hair. My mum-in-law came to all my fittings with me rather than my mum, because my mum was way too controlling, lol. It's much different once you're all 'done up' on the big day.

That's made me feel so much better! I was just staring at my face and almost wishing I wasn't getting married coz I look so rough! My Mom is the opposite of controlling, she makes everything seem such a big fucking effort for her. Last week she moaned throughout the whole fitting about how the appointments were stopping her getting anything done on a Saturday and how she hadn't had a cup of tea all morning. So today I brought her a flask of tea and she was all "what have you brought THAT for!?" FFS! :o

Blargh, mums are wierd. My mum spent weeks whining at me about doing the catering (which she offered to do as a present) and then almost had a nervous breakdown about it. It all came together in the end though. I got to the point where as long as Matt showed up at the church, it really didn't matter what else happened.

My Mom offered to do catering too, and is now moaning about how much she has to do! haha. Must be a Mama thing. It's all good research for how NOT to behave when our little ones are getting married! :o

Aw sweets. I think this was all hangover talking, I do this when I feel like arses too. Bloody booze.

Go and do something that makes you sweat like a beast in the gym and then go for a ten minute steam. When you've showered after all that you will feel amazing (and your skin with glow and your hair will shine!). I love the steam room in my gym. LOVE IT.

Maybe you need a bit of a pamper before the big day too? Manicure and pedicure (even a home one will make you feel great). Moisturise like a fiend too. Basically anything which will awaken tactile senses - if you physically feel yummy then you will inside too (making it show on the outside).

Cannot wait to see the final dress unveiling!!

You are so right. I am going to book in for a facial a few days before the wedding, and maybe even a massage! I really need to get a beauty routine too. I wash my face with Mikes facewash and don't moisturize or anything. I am blaming the booze for todays wibbles. Bad booze!

I can heartily recommend Neutrogena Deep Pore Wash and a bottle of Olay Sensitive Complete Care - that's my skin care routine (less than a tenner too!).

I'm pretty sure its pre-wedding jitters combined with bad alcohol causing you some lows... IGNORE THEM! lol Do get yourself some pamper time in the next two weeks... something your MOM does not attend with you ;) for starters. lol I'm sure she means well, but it sounds like you've had enough of her whining for a while lol and still two weeks to go! lol You'll survive. Just get yourself to the gymn, enjoy a sauna or steam like your friend suggested. A few laps in the pool maybe or whatever you like ( ... )
