ALIAS; A superhero drama
Sydney Bristow isn't your average college student.
Experimented on as a child, she's everything a soldier dreams of. Powerful, intelligent, and with a knack for stealth, agencies were out to recruit her as early as her high school years. Arvin Sloane, a renowned philanthropist and childhood father figure for Sydney finds her first.
She works for his division for a while: SD-6 is a stealth-based organization designed to reclaim dangerous artifacts from people who aim to misuse them.
Or so Sydney thinks.
She discovers that Arvin Sloane is not all that he claims to be: The artifacts he's been recovering aren't going to museums, but to a far more sinister purpose.
Arvin Sloane is the deadly villain known as Prophet.
And Sydney's willing to stop at nothing to stop him -- even if it means becoming a mask herself.
Sydney Bristow isn't your average college student.
She's a superhero.
SYDNEY BRISTOW, AKA ALIAS
Experimented on as a child, Sydney Bristow's abilities are vast. However, considering her training at Sloane's hand, it's difficult to determine exactly where her training stops and her enhanced abilities begin. Skilled in hand-to-hand combat, most major weapons known to humankind, foreign languages, and improvisation, Sydney's a force to be reckoned with as she takes on the identity Alias.
As Sydney makes the transition into her masked identity, she takes a straggler from SD-6 with her. A man by the name of Michael Vaughn, she discovers him as an ex-SD-6 agent who also recognized the perils of the organization, going into hiding years before her. She takes him under her wing and trains him to help battle the ever-expanding criminal landscape before them, all the while maintaining her double agent identity at SD-6.
MICHAEL VAUGHN, AKA BOY SCOUT
Sydney's sidekick, Michael was recruited to SD-6 three years before she joined. Through sheer luck, he stumbled across Sloane's secret and fled into hiding, changing his name and working to bring Sloane down from the shadows. Sydney finds him through a website one of his sources set up and pulls him from the shadows and actively into the fight.
Not field trained, bringing Michael to a point where he's capable of combat on the same level as Alias is a difficulty. He starts out largely working tech on her mission, with the unwitting help of his friend, Eric Weiss.
ERIC WEISS, AKA RETRIEVER
Eric, a lifelong friend of Vaughn, is loyal to a fault. Dragged by Vaughn into hiding after his stint in SD-6 with little explanation as to why, Weiss is largely in the dark about Vaughn's plans and the new woman in his life. However, Weiss is far from stupid, and it's not long before he starts to put two and two together...
Once Vaughn proves himself able to take on missions with Sydney, Eric replaces Vaughn as tech, taking on the identity Retriever.
JACK BRISTOW, AKA RAPTOR
Jack Bristow, Sydney's father, has been a longterm employee of SD-6, much to Sydney's surprise when she's recruited. To her further surprise, he's also a longterm double agent: Jack Bristow has a secret identity of his own. Largely preferring to work on his own and not used to being a father figure, Jack reaches out in his own way; even if that way is providing weaponry for her new life as a masked vigilante.
MARCUS DIXON, AKA OUTRIGGER
An SD-6 operative, Sydney becomes very close with Dixon during her time as a double agent. Unfortunately, it's not until late in the game that Sydney can open Dixon's eyes about the truth of the organization, and that results in Dixon drifting away from her. Ultimately, he returns to her side, however, taking on the name Outrigger.
ARVIN SLOANE, AKA PROPHET
Arvin Sloane is a complicated man. Deeply loving Sydney as a quasi-daughter, loving his wife, and yet having a deep obsession with an ancient inventor known as Rambaldi, his plans are convoluted at best and diabolical at worst. By day, he's a renowned philanthropist, sponsoring museums and digs to recover these artifacts. By night, he's Prophet, recruiting any means necessary to claim the artifacts for his own shady purposes.
IRINA DEREVKO, AKA THE MAN
Sydney Bristow's mother and Jack Bristow's former wife, Irina faked her own death when Sydney was a child. Now she exists solely as her alter ego, The Man: a major competitor and occasional ally to Arvin Sloane for the Rambaldi artifacts. She quickly establishes herself as perhaps an even bigger threat for Sydney and her team to take down, more ruthless than Sloane and with even less to lose.
JULIAN SARK
The Man's sidekick, Julian Sark was trained and practically raised by Irina Derevko. One of Sydney's biggest threats combat-wise, he proves a constant thorn in her side throughout the series. Sark doesn't keep a secret identity; it almost seems that he enjoys the infamy associated with his career choice.
