Its really hard to plan a wedding from Florida when your fiance is in Iowa and the wedding is in Chicago. But we do have a place and a date and I GOT A DRESS. It has polka dot lace and is strapless and is totally a "Marti" dress. Like it would be the kind of dress I'd buy. Very classic ( Read more... )

As far as colors go- if you're afraid for the halloween issue- you could bring a third color into the mix. You could go for another warm color like red or yellow. OR you could pick it's complimentary color, blue.

lol - go for orange and blue - then you'll be U of I colors... and that TOTALLY goes with your alma matter! HA!

When is the wedding? If spring/summer I'd say yellow. There are lots of pretty yellow flowers. If fall/winter I'd say red. That way you can go with standard red flowers and not blow your budget on out of season things.
