I've actually never been to Montréal, and I'm not the biggest fan of Canadian French, but the city itself is supposed to be very European. That's exciting. What's more, myself and the friend with whom I'm going could really use a vacation.... and a weekend out of the country sounds like just the thing!
you have NO idea how jealous i am that you are going to my FAVORITE city!!!
i totally wish i could come with you guys and show you around.. dammit for it being near the holidays!! (or just close enough to mess any chances of me going too. :( )
"Oh la vache!" ... isnt that ... "Oh the cow!" ... is that like saying "holy cow!" ? lol ... I need to catch up on some basic French even though you're right .. for being out of French for about 4 years now, I remeber a decent amount! Yay! And YES ... nous avons besoin des vacances!

"Oh la vache" = holy cow "vachement" = really ...French people like cows. And I have a phrase book that I'll bring with us. Some of it's not very tame, but it'll come in handy if we happen to get groped by any skeevy Montreal guys.
I'm so excited, I think this is just what we need.
