We had to put my cat to sleep this morning. We just decided a few hours before, because she became really lethargic and dazed very quickly. She just wasn't herself. She was 17, so it was time... but it doesn't make it any easier. I've had her since I was 3 and I can't remember not having her. I'm so sorry for your loss. People who never have pets don't understand how attached we can get to them. She must have been a big part of your life. I'm sure you will her and even if you get another cat, it won't be the same. I still miss Samantha.

Losing pets and Nana's! (or any loved one) is NOT EASY! I feel like im not alone this week now. My dog is 15 and about ready to go as well. I wont be a happy camper either. :0(

I'm so sorry :( I've had my dog for a long time, too (although 17 years is quite a bit older than he is) and he's pretty much on the way out as well. I can't imagine what it would be like if he was gone since he's always been there since I was a little kiddo, so I can only imagine what you're feeling right about now. That's too bad, at least it wasn't a painful way to go and the cat was loved and everything, that's a nice ending I'd say.
