Shito's head jerked up and he turned to look up through his bangs at the other boy. A sheepish smile came to his lips as he sat back on his heels and straightened up, brushing his hair out of his face. His cheeks were a little flushed from the exertion.
"You made it," he said. "Did you bring all of your stuff already?"
Junpei gave the other boy a thumbs up, nodding enthusiastically.
"Yup! It's all in the front hall," he said brightly, tipping the beak of his cap up. "I figured it'd be easier to haul it all here in one trip, since the dorm was gonna be closing back... well, in Iwatodai."
He couldn't really call it home anymore... After all, the dorm was pretty much toast. They'd outlived their usefulness to the Kirijo Corp. Figures... They could have at least given them some kind of retirement package until they finished school...
Shito gave the stain on the floor sour look, but it looked like whatever it was had long ago soaked right into the wood, and wasn't going to come out. He dropped the brush into the bucket of water and wiped his hands on a towel as he got to his feet.
"Want a hand carrying it in, then?" he offered. It was nice to see Junpei looking so enthusiastic. Shito had half-expected him to be upset about the fact that he had to leave home. But then, Junpei rarely seemed anything but enthusiastic.
